What? - 2010 sees a new philosophy, rather than worry about big numbers at a few events, lets just have some fun doing lots of things for as many people as can make it!
And so comes about the North Wales Run, a number of times a year my newest family travel to North Wales to climb the many rock faces in and around Snowdonia National Park. The scenery is fantastic, and breath taking and I often think to myself, I'd love to drag a few KKITP people along with us to enjoy this amazing scenery! So late last year I figured, why not?
So the plan is to meet at one given point, then once there you will all be issued with a map featuring a suggested route to the surprise end location.
THIS IS NOT A RACE NOR RALLY we can't afford the insurance for that! It's just a fantastic opportunity to take in some fantastic scenery and get some fantastic shots of our cars in their surroundings!
After all what's more fun than just going for a drive? well except maybe going for a drive through a mountain range!
Who? - Everyone's invited!
Where? - The first meeting point is off the A470, near Ganllwyd.
It's a picnic site called Ty'n y Groes
Click here for their website and
here for a map.
The suggested route will take roughly 1hr 22mins, however there are short cuts if you really want to miss most of the breath taking scenery! Then we will all meet up at the end point for a group photo of the survivors! haha
When? - 1pm, Saturday, 20th March 2010.
Anyone wishing to stay the weekend, there is a campsite not far away that we regularly use. It's £4pp per night and is very basic, it's for climbers but has a lovely little cafe which is run by a very adventurous legend among climbers called Eric.
